Pachanga Diaries is proud to present a series of PuertoDominican spanish sayings in honor to the most beautiful and intelligent women in my life …. my mom, Gladys.

While growing up my mom always gave me and my brother little pieces of advice about people, society and relationships.

Her ways of giving us advice were very amusing and insightful.

There are so many sayings I perhaps won’t remember but she is just one call away from me.

Here is the first piece of advice from;

The Book of Gladys

Beware of the person who is always happy. It is just not normal. Chances are this person is about to kill someone.

My interpretation

Don’t pursue 24/7 happinness, it is impossible. We are humans, it is normal to be depressed, sad, and dissapointed. Allow yourself to be human. Don’t hold grudges. Define transitional happines, no lifetime happiness.

Sculpted by Juanita Gable, the Pachanga Man stands nearly 6 inches tall (1/6th scale), and features real human colors over a plastic construction. The Pachanga Man features multiple booty motions. Motions like; left-right, shimmy shimmy, shake your bum bum and more.
